The Center

The Interdepartmental Research Center Dental-School is a research center of the University of Turin born in 2013 to enhance the excellences present in the school.

The Dental School is located in the modern center of Lingotto, a jewel of 20th-century industrial architecture and home of FIAT. Lingotto was rebuilt by the architect Renzo Piano in a multifunctional center. Located in a privileged position, , close to the Po River and the Turin Hill, it houses an important congress center, auditorium, ‘pinacoteca’, hotels, restaurants and a large shopping center. The Dental School in Turin, strongly wanted by Prof. Giulio Preti and directed by Prof. Stefano Carossa was inaugurated on February 15, 2008.  It is located on the second and third floor of the Lingotto on a surface of 14,000 square meters.

 

Didactic activities and postgraduate education

The Dental School in Turin boasts a multi-year collaboration with major manufacturers of precision tools and instruments that are essential in the dental profession. Thanks to the partnership with these companies we can offer graduate students the latest generation of tools and equipment, enabling them to learn and execute the most current and refined operating techniques.
 

Clinical and Assistance Activities

Teaching and Postgraduate Education are complemented by the care of the patients in the complex structures of Oral Rehabilitation, Maxillo Facial Prostheses and Dental Implantology U (Prof. Stefano Carossa) and Preventive and Restorative Odontostomatology U (Director Prof. Elio Berutti) U (Director Prof. Elio Berutti).
